Nickname: the hero of the Bay of Beasts? Frei called him/them “that Lunaire guy”

Age: the battle of the Bay of Beasts was 50 years ago, long before most of us were born... so is Eluviel old now?

Description: He always wears a golden mask with feathers on the side, and so far we haven't found anyone who's seen him in any other clothes but his comfortable robes

Location: based on the correspondence with Ishmael Ghorann (see inserted image), we expect Eluviel is in Crescent Cove, on the edge of the White Sea

Job: we don’t know his/their job, but Frei suggested he/they are important within Lunaire’s hierarchy, as a powerful mage.

Our assessment

Friend or foe: we don’t really know…Most of us assume Eluviel is a good person, but a lot of questions remain:

If we spent 18 months with Eluviel, did we become friends? Are we sure we spent those 18 months working with him/them?
Is our connection to Eluviel personal, or predicated on our belonging to the crew of Captain John Magpie (who was also involved in the Battle of the Bay of Beasts, although we don’t know how or why)?
Why were we sent away, without memory, without even a note explaining (unlike the note Ghorann received)? Why were we sent to the south, where there’s a lot of slavers & where at least Eldrin doesn’t really want to go?
Where is the Young Kraken? We're pirates, we don't want to be dry bandits, don't deprive us of our ship

travel to Crescent Cove, probably over land, avoiding the war brewing in Rosaria (see session 4)
request the return of our memories, probably in exchange for
- stopping the half-fiend half-human Virgil
- a role in the looming war, given Aashvi Saree's involvement and the conscription of all magic users by Rosarian crown-prince Mordecai

Notes:

Eluviel has an impressive (or intimidating) reputation
- Frei has heard of Eluviel, even as a rough-and-tumble city guard who’s not overly concerned with history and politics
- The bandit Ishmael Ghorann was willing to follow Eluviel’s orders, simply on the promise of future payment
Eluviel is either a bit careless, or forced by circumstance to hurry
- When the Wandering Isle landed on Koh’Shar (24 months ago), Eluviel inadvertently kidnapped Aqueel & stranded the young marid all alone in the desert
- When the Wandering Isle landed on Nawa (11 days ago, just before session 1), its arrival from the plane of fire caused some destruction in Nawa, as well as the arrival of fire critters like magmins and mephis. Their presence made the attacks by Virgil’s forces worse, weakening Nawa to the subsequent plunder by the Sable Serpent
During session 12 Ezra unlocked a memory from the Brass City in the plane of fire, where they stole a crystal from the local Fire Genasi… As the Young Kraken was fighting both Virgil and his troops and some of the locals in order to give Ezra time to carry out their mission, several crew members died:
- Eldrin, Ezra, Fyllion, Hali and Storm remember dying and were resurrected
- Ezra saw Anastasia and Archibald dead and the firebird wounded, unclear what happened to them
during session 17 when Storm finally revealed his memory loss to Mondregen, Mondregen shared that we attended king Balthazar's funeral as Eluviel's retinue. He noticed that Eluviel's meeting with crown-prince Mordecai wasn't a happy one, many whispers now tarnishing the venerated war hero's reputation
