Koh'Shar

Map of Koh'Shar

Koh'Shar is the biggest city in the Sand Sea. It is governed by the Council of Koh'Shar.

Members of the Council

  • Jahadi, King of Traders: Overlooks trade routes and trade relations with other settlements + funded and bankrolls the city guard and guard patrols to protect those trading routes. A powerful and respected figure, one of the original council members. He was killed the day before we arrived in the city of Koh'Shar (Session 5).
  • Nasser, King of the Oasis: The richest man in Koh’Shar by a very long shot, owns the land the oasis sits on. Has made lucrative deals with many parties to dig the many channels and irrigation systems that run through the city. The youngest King, he was originally the Prince of the oasis but was passed the torch when his father passed away a few years ago.
  • Osman, King of the Land: Colloquially still known as ‘the prince of produce’. His family owns much of the once barren land further from the oasis, which has recently become very fertile. Osman is quickly gaining influence and respect due to his ambition, hard-working attitude and the fresh food (and jobs) he provides.
  • Skourja, Princess of Pleasures (actually the the Queen of Respite, but she kept the title 'Princess', because it sounds better): Overlooks the many taverns, inns, eateries, brothels and bathhouses that dot Koh’Shar, while still running her family’s original house of respite (the Moonflower) during the night. A passionate but unpredictable spirit, the youngest member of the council but a figure many hesitate to argue with.
  • Rahima, Queen of the Craftsmen: One of the original members of the council, the stern and traditional head of the many guilds and craftsmen in town, from blacksmiths, potters and tailors to weavers, tanners and even the town wizard, Mi'Kal. Many of her (grand)children are craftsmen and -women themselves.
  • Sabor, Shepherd of the Faithful: Refuses the title of king on principle, but still acts as a religious leader of sorts within the city. Once preached general Solunism but has leaned more into worship of Soliman in particular in recent years. A kind and mild-mannered figure.

The city guards

  • Akram is a strong human man with a black beard and black hair in a bun. He was Jahadi's second in command & is now attempting to keep control of the guard and by extension of the city. Though he's certainly not poor, it's unclear if he's got the funds to take over as council member
  • Basri is a stocky high elf man with dark hair and pale skin, currently Akram's second in command
  • Yusuf, a dependable human man who remembers Frei as an okay colleague
