My dearest Ezra,

Thank you so much for the recipe, that was thoughtful of you. I can't wait to try it out once I can stock up on fresh ingredients in the city. It'll remind me of you whenever I make it.

I'm relieved to hear you made it to Damanhour alright, despite all the danger you must have encountered on the road. I'm rather new to having someone I care this much about, someone to worry about... I lost sleep not knowing whether you were safe or not out there in the sands... But it seems I shouldn't have worried. You really are the strongest person I've ever met. I wish I could have seen you fight like that.

Na'Dir, though... Again?? That's troubling news to say the least. Are you certain they will stay gone this time around? We've luckily not encountered any bandits here in Nawa since you left, besides the gangly one with the purple scarf who assured us he was a friend of yours. He kept watch for a few nights like a guard dog before he left to follow you. I suspect he had something to do with the quiet time we've had...

Things are rather busy here, there's a lot of rebuilding to do and a lot of the refugees still need time to recover, so I've been helping where I can. Who'd have thought carpentry could be so much fun? Thankfully we received some help from Koh'Shar. That funny little elf from the city came along with a shipment of supplies we had ordered, thanks to your friend's investment. He used some strange stones to clean the oasis for us. "Science", he called it. It truly is amazing...

Please stay safe out there on the road. I know the journey you have ahead of you will likely be tough, but knowing you... I don't doubt you'll accomplish whatever you set your mind to. In the meantime... please do write me now and then to let me know you're alright.
